Crazy Sexy Diet: Eat Your Veggies, Ignite Your Spark & Live Like You Mean

Have you read it yet? You got to. PRONTO!

Crazy Sexy Diet: Eat Your Veggies, Ignite Your Spark & Live Like You Mean has been on bookshelves since January 17.  If you haven’t picked up a copy, let me suggest you do it right NOW.  I didn’t meant to scream. Anyway, this book is a MUST read. When have I recommended a bad book? Actually, I don’t think I ever have recommended any books here in my blog. It doesn’t matter. I know what people say about me. I know they call me Aidee, aka she picks the best books ever. So you can trust me on this one and pick up a copy. If you are not sure about it, check out a chapter right here.

The author of this book is Kris Carr. She became national well known a couple years ago in 2003 after making a documentary about her extremely positive and healthy way to fight cancer and of course after appearing in the Oprah show.

I found out about Kris one afternoon watching Oprah. And I immediately said to myself she is awesome. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she changed her situation by changing her thinking. She changed from being the victim to the person in control of her situation. I admire her for giving life a big shiny smile when things didn’t seem bright. She inspires me. I love anybody that can be sitting in a cactus full of thorns, surrounded by shit and don’t complain about it.

She has terminal cancer still, the tumors, beauty marks, as she called them still in her body. But with her bright attitude she fights it every day. She uses food and a positive attitude to cure herself. Like Dr. Oz said, she turned food into medicine.

Kris starts her day with a green drink. It’s a smoothie full of green veggies and it’s actually really good. I drank her green smoothie for about 6 months 2 years ago. I loved it. It gave me a ton of energy and my skin was glowing. I met my man while I was drinking one of those, he thought it was funny. Back then I was eating meat still, but my consciousness was starting to shift, so I made some good choices.

This book is for anybody that wants to get inspired from a strong, well-minded women. It’s her story more than a diet book, but it comes with big love for Kale. So, just pick up the book and get inspired to do that thing that you are putting off. Maybe there are some negative things in your life you want to change. Like she said in her book, we all have some type of cancer. Metaphorically, of course.

Maybe there is something dark that you want out of your life, maybe you are over weight, maybe diabetes, or maybe you are completely healthy but you feel tired and sluggish. Or, maybe you are a happy  jumping bean but you are ready to do to do something different and better. If so, this book can inspire you to use your “cancer” as a tool to open your heart to a better life.

This is the recipe of her green drink.

-2 large cucumbers (peeled if not organic)
-big fistful of kale
-big fistful of sweet pea sprouts
-4 – 5 stalks celery
-1 – 2 big broccoli stems
-1 pear or green apple (optional)
-1 inch of ginger (or less)

Blend it all and drink it in a happy celebrating cup, Kris uses a wine glass, I use whatever looks fancy.

Cheers!

I also saw her on Oprah. Amazing how that show let so many people know about Crazy Sexy Life. Did you read her blog, too, before it was changed to the site it is now?

Yeah, I have read some of her post blogs in the past, specially when I wanted to get inspired. She always has something smart to say. I found about her on Oprah, and then this year I started with the 21 day quick start and Kris was part of it and she was one of the people that called me to motivate me. Of course was a recording call but I still got excited. You know how that is. So you have followed her since the time she was on Oprah?
