Veganist (yeah that is not a real word and I didn’t invent it)

The Veganist by Kathy Freston is out and after reading it, I loved it. I have read all Kathy’s previous books because I love the way she treats the reader. You feel her compassionate ways through her words.
Kathy Freston and I have a strong relationship, we met about two years ago and we became best friends since then (she doesn’t know about it yet). I am enormously grateful to her for introducing the Vegan life style to me in such a kind way.
Her fist book was the inspiration for me becoming vegetarian in the first place. Before her I just could not understand why I would want to stop eating meat. I always had this feeling inside of me where I knew something was wrong with eating animals. I remember every time after eating my dad’s famous over night marinaded arrachera, my teeth would just hurt. It’s like I wasn’t made to be a meat eater even though my northern Mexican background would say differently.
So yeah Kathy Freston was the one that started this journey for me. Her message in Quantum Wellness was lean in to it and that was the key for my success. It took me two years until I could become Vegan. And still sometimes I am not the strongest Vegan, especially when wine is around. Blah!
The Veganist is just such a perfect book for for the new or the want to be Vegans.
If you are just starting down the Vegan path, or if you just want to do a cleanse for 21 days or if you are interested in informing yourself about today’s foods or if you are super open minded and want to be a revolutionnaire, you should definitely buy this great book.
Then again, if you’ve already read Quantum Wellness or Skinny Bitch, you may want to save your money for one of the influx of other fantastic new Vegan books. More on those later sista.
I love to be nosey and get the whole scoop on anything Vegan. I love to know other Vegans. I am a bit of a professional Vegan-people stalker. Like I go and find Vegan bloggers, books and everything. I am a big believer on finding a role-model, a template, a contemporary example, a here-and-now sample, of how life could be lived in a new way. In short, someone to inspire me, and since it has being a while since I read Quantum of Wellness and Skinny Bitch, I found her book informative and inspiring.
On her book she has 10 promises, basically 10 chapters. Every promise brings a sense of accomplishment and sureness for a better, happier life. So inspiring and clever! I wish I had thought about it. With the Veganist, Kathy gives you an instant guaranty to evolveness. And yeah evolveness is not a word but neither Veganist. My BFF, Kathy, and I are just inventing new words to explain ourselves. So go get her book so you know what Veganist means and you can sound clever and hot on your next party when you talk about the new best thing you are doing.
MUAH!
